Zimbabwe has been allowed to sell its diamonds from the Chiadzwa fields by the Kimberly Process (KP) Certification Scheme
The approval was granted by the KP at a meeting in St Petersburg, Russia Thursday evening.
Zimbabwe has a stock pile of 4 million carats of diamonds worth around US$1.5 billion.
The country has been allowed to sell a limited amount of diamonds until September 1, thereafter KP appointed monitor, Abbey Chikane will come to assess the diamond sales.
