Zimbabwe
officially signed the Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (BIPPA) with South Africa (SA) today.
The agreement between the two southern Africa countries is expected to boost investor confidence in Zimbabwe.
“This is part of our efforts to improve the investment climate in Zimbabwe,” said Economic Planning minister Elton Mangoma.
Mangoma said investors need the protection and the comfort which is offered by the agreement.

In 2003 the total value of SA investments in Zimbabwe were estimated at US$619 million.
