The industrial index closed at 137.64 points ending the seven days losing streak after gaining 0.31%.
Cigarette manufacturer BAT was 5 cents up at 160 cents; Innscor inched up a cent to 56.10 cents while Fidelity Life advanced 0.90 cents to 16 cents. M&R and Truworths both traded 0.50 cents higher at 9.50 cents and 7.50 cents in that order.
However, insurance giant Old Mutual was down 0.90 cents to 155 cents while Turnall and Zimplow both slipped 0.50 cents to settle at 10 cents and 7.50 cents respectively.
The resources index gained 0.02% to close at 80.84 points. Falgold gained 0.01 cents to trade at 7.01 cents.
Bindura, Hwange and Riozim were unchanged at previous levels.
